Our primary charitable organization is the Macomb County Youth Home, shelter care unit. These children are either abused, neglected or abandoned. They range in age from newborn to seventeen years . The shelter will accept donations of clothes, toys and some foods; such as snacks, juice, pop etc.
We also collect donations of clothes, etc. For Turning Point; which is a shelter for battered women and their children.
Over the years we have made donations to send two young adults to Europe for further study and one girl on a trip to London, England for a cheerleading workshop. We have also sponsored a boys’ soccer team and made contributions to families of fallen officers. In the last two years we have helped 158 children at Christmas time.
We have also sponsored golf outings, etc. To benefit other charity fundraisers; such as the New Baltimore Goodfellows, VFW Post 7573, AmVets Post 52, FOP #112, FOP #185 and the FOE. We have donated to the MDA and the Water Warriors. Assisted local families who are down on their luck or temporarily homeless.
Anyone who wishes to donate to the shelter; they always appreciate new or good condition clothing, of all sizes. New toys are best, but good used ones also. Please no stuffed animals
