"Improving Our Community, One Block At a Time"
Dear New Baltimore Resident / Business Owner / Lessee,
Thank you for expressing interest in the New Baltimore Police Department's Neighborhood Watch initiative. Neighborhood Watch is a proven strategy for preventing crime and improving the quality of our community.
The potential for your Neighborhood Watch is limited only by your imagination and the willingness of you and your neighbors to become actively involved. In addition to preventing crime, a Neighborhood Watch can work to resolve problems, increase the quality of life, and even increase the value of homes in your area. As you may be aware, President Bush has called on Neighborhood Watch organizations to help prepare citizens for emergencies and homeland defense.
My role as the Neighborhood Watch Program Director is to provide you with the information and tools that your neighborhood needs to successfully implement and maintain a strong Neighborhood Watch program. As such, I am pleased to announce that the City of New Baltimore's Police Administration has endorsed a "Town Hall" meeting to provide you with the necessary materials that describe the basics about Neighborhood Watch. After attending this kick off meeting and reading the materials given, please contact me so that we can discuss any additional questions you may have. I can be reached at (586) 725-2181 or e-mail me at. TWILEY@CITYOFNEWBALTIMORE.ORG
I look forward to seeing all of you at the "Town Hall" meeting and working with you and your neighbors to customize a Neighborhood Watch program that addresses your area's needs!
Yours in Community Oriented Policing,
Officer Timothy P. Wiley #12
